Welcome world
Not that anyone noticed but there wasn't a post last night *gasp*
Any who my quest to become accomplished is finally just about sorta beginning to take shape. First off I've actually seriously started my uni application though I feel I'm gonna spend a lot of time in the phone to the Canadian embassy tomorrow trying to figure out fees levels and finance since the uni website and the embassy website are giving very different figures, here's hoping the embassy's got it right.
In terms of actual accomplishments I've decided to try and read the bbc 100 greatest books list. It's estimated that most people have only read 6 of them with the list ranging from Charlie and the Chocolate factory to War and Peace and everything in between. So far I've got through about 40 of them so am well on my way. I've also decided to try and learn some French. I'm spending New Years in France so it makes sense to learn some French plus parts of Canada are bilingual with French being the other official language so it all fits together quite well.
Any who I'm off to talk bikes and swimming Galas with one of my favourite people, clavs. So until next time

Girl 18, charming but unremarkable
Welcome world
I say world because I don't know who if anyone will ever read this. Most likely this'll remained an unread catalogue of my thoughts.
That's me, 18 mad (I was going for and but it looks like autocorrect is demanding I be truthful) and quite frankly unremarkable. My desire to become accomplished has progressed no further, in fact I still haven't decided how to go about it. On the up side my aim to become a proper functioning person is taking little baby steps in the right direction. After losing my surprisingly lucrative waitressing job for not speaking Spanish (more on that another time undoubtedly) I'm now getting paid £60 a week to babysit for 6ish hours starting next week for one of the wardens at imperial college London, fingers crossed it all goes well.
I'm also at that joyful time of having to do uni applications, fun fun fun. But if all goes to plan this time next year I'll be moving into halls in Halifax, Canada and will no longer be quite so unremarkable.
Any who I'm now off to have an uncomfortable conversation with my ex boyfriend and best friend.
Until next time

No time like the present

Welcome world
For some god forsaken reason I thought it would be a good idea to take a gap year and now find myself at something of a loss. Back in November a year out seemed like the best thing in the world but now everyone has headed off to Uni I'm left here with nothing much to do. On that note I've decided to spend the year becoming 'accomplished' (blame the BBC adaptation of Pride and Prejudice) and plan on using this blog to document my progress.
The general vague idea is to a) decide on what accomplishments to accomplish b) accomplish them. c) update this thing more or less every day. And finally d) to make this year out seem somewhat worth while.
On that note I bid you adieu until tomorrow night
